Welcome to St. Jude’s School. This is a real roleplay school for adults who wish to recapture their real schooldays. This school will be as authentic as we can make it, including the discipline! All are welcome, including special girls.
The school has its own reasonably priced uniform, available through us, although most items can be bought anywhere.
St. Jude’s is ably staffed with Lady Pandora as Headmistress, along with Miss Buffy, our Head Girl, and Miss Trudie, our Games Captain. We also have guest teachers; Miss Cassie Hunter will be joining us on 7th May and Miss Sarah Kane will be joining us on 4th June.
At present, we are holding monthly Detention sessions, from 1pm to 5pm. The first hour is to allow time for pupils to arrive, have a cup of tea and get changed.
Our School Days will run from 10am to 5pm and are presently run on an ad hoc basis - when we have enough people who wish to take part! Days may be themed: sometimes lessons will be taken by a Victorian Governess, other times by a 1950s Teacher, etc. Lessons will be traditional as well as modern and will vary greatly, ranging from Current Affairs, to General Knowledge, to Ancient History, to Art, to Latin and Algebra and everything in between! Assignments and projects will be set in advance of school days in order that you have adequate time to prepare.
For acceptance to St. Jude’s School, please either telephone on 07759 428 734 or else send a polite email to lpandoracp@aol.com including details of yourself, the role you like to play, your play age, your location, etc. I will then reply requesting any further information and, before acceptance, I may require a telephone interview with you in order that I may better gauge which school events you will be best suited to.
I am sure you will appreciate that I am loathe to give too many details of the way St. Jude’s School will be run, due to the fact that we wish to keep this school special and original for our members and we do not wish to see our school – which is, of course, your school – emulated in any way by others, as has so often proven the case recently.
School Uniform
As always, we try to keep costs as low as possible in order that everyone may join in. Whilst this is a traditional school, it is not exclusive; everyone is welcome.
The uniform comprises grey shorts or skirt, white shirt/blouse, maroon v-neck jumper (optional), maroon blazer. The girls' summer uniform comprises a red and white gingham dress. Boys' socks should be grey knee length; I am trying to source socks with a maroon band at present. The tie and badge are available from St. Jude’s School , as are items of clothing and also accessories, such as our book bag. If you have a problem obtaining any of the items, please let me know and I will order them for you.
P.E. kit comprises maroon shorts or skirt and white polo shirt. White ankle socks and either black or white plimsolls.
